Sea Otter Australia Countdown: Batemans Bay Preps for its Debut

The countdown is officially on. In just a few short months, the world's biggest bike festival is landing on Australian soil for the first time, and the energy in Batemans Bay is absolute electric.

Sea Otter Australia 2026 is set to be a landmark moment for our local bike culture. While the 'original' Sea Otter in Monterey is a massive industry trade show, the Australian version is leaning hard into the racing and community aspect. Based around the world-class Mogo Trails network, the event will feature everything from elite-level DH and Enduro to family-friendly gravel loops and a massive tech expo.

What to watch for at Mogo

The trail builders at Next Level MTB have been working overtime to get the network ready for its world-stage debut. The Mogo State Forest features some of the most unique coastal riding in the country, with gritty granite slabs, high-speed loamy gullies, and spectacular ocean views. If you haven't ridden here yet, you're missing out on the newest crown jewel of NSW riding.

The Expo & Vibes

Beyond the tape, the Sea Otter expo is where you'll see the newest 2027 prototype tech before anyone else. We'll be there on the ground, bringing you the latest cockpit bling and protection updates. It's the perfect place to grab a coffee, check out some dream builds, and talk dirt with fellow riders.

Get Your Rig Ready for the Coast

Coastal riding is beautiful, but the gritty granite and salt air at Batemans Bay can be hard on hardware. Before you pack the car for Sea Otter, make sure your contact points are solid and your frame is protected from the grit.

We'll have a full Sea Otter gear guide dropping next week. Until then, keep those chains lubed and those stanchions clean.

Send it.
