Review: The 2026 Norco Sight C2 — High-Pivot Enduro Perfection

TL;DR: The ultimate Australian enduro weapon that makes big rocks feel like pebbles.

Norco has long been a favourite in the Australian enduro scene, and for 2026, they've taken the Sight to a whole new level. Ditching the traditional linkage for a VPSHP (Virtual Pivot Suspension | High Pivot) layout, the new Sight C2 is a masterclass in how to build an aggressive trail bike that can handle the roughest terrain Maydena or Bright can throw at it while still being efficient enough for all-day missions.

What you get

The Sight C2 build is the sweet spot in the range. You get a full carbon front triangle and seatstays, paired with RockShox's latest suspension and a nearly bulletproof SRAM GX Eagle Transmission (T-Type electronic shifting).

  • Frame: Carbon Front, VPSHP High-Pivot (160mm Rear Travel)
  • Fork: RockShox Lyrik Select+ (Charger 3.1 RC2, 170mm)
  • Shock: RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ (RC2T)
  • Drivetrain: SRAM GX Eagle Transmission (Wireless)
  • Wheel Setup: Mullet (29" Front / 27.5" Rear)
  • Price: ~$8,499 AUD

How it rides

The high-pivot layout is the star of the show. Thanks to the rearward axle path, the back wheel moves 'out of the way' of square-edged hits rather than slamming into them. On the rough, chunky trails of the Victorian High Country, this translates to incredible momentum and composure. You'll find yourself carrying significantly more speed through rock gardens where other bikes would hang up.

Despite the extra complexity of the idler pulley, the Sight climbs with surprising efficiency. The high-pivot design provides excellent anti-squat, meaning the suspension stays active for traction on technical climbs but doesn't bob under power. The mullet wheel setup makes it noticeably more agile in tight corners than a full 29er, allowing you to flick the back end around with ease.

Weak spots

The high-pivot design does come with a few trade-offs. There's a tiny bit more chain noise due to the idler pulley, and the extra chain length means you'll need to keep an eye on lubrication during muddy winter rides. It's also not the lightest bike in its class, but the sheer performance on the descents more than makes up for the few extra grams.

The Smart Move

Norco's 'Ride Aligned' setup guide is brilliant, but even the best factory spec can be improved. High-pivot bikes generate massive forces through the cockpit when you're charging through the rough. Upgrading your contact points and protecting your investment is a no-brainer for a bike this capable.

Verdict: 9.3/10

The 2026 Norco Sight C2 is a phenomenal platform. It's safe, stable, and arguably the fastest 'mid-travel' bike we've tested through the rough stuff. If you're serious about your enduro racing or just want to feel like a hero on your weekend shuttle days, this is the bike.
